Sagano Romantic Train & Hozu-gawa River Boat Ride (Kyoto Sightseeing Bus)

1. On this tour, participants can enjoy sightseeing in Kyoto by riding the popular Sagano Romantic Train (trolley train) as well as a boat on the Hozu-gawa River. For convenience, a bus will be used for in-between transfers.
2. The retro-style Sagano Romantic Train runs along the Hozu-gawa valley, offering a fantastic view of the surrounding nature in any season. Plus, take an exhilarating boat ride on the Hozu-gawa River, which is a popular activity among international visitors.
3. Spend 2 hours and 20 minutes in Arashiyama, where you are free to have lunch and go sightseeing or shopping. Participants will be given a discount coupon which can be used on selected facilities, shops, and restaurants!

Once the bus has departed, participants will not be able to join halfway through the tour.

Sagano Romantic Train (23 min)
Participants will take a scenic ride on the Sagano Romantic Train along the Hozu-gawa River from Sagano to Kameoka. The train will take brief stops on selected tour points, so participants have some opportunities to take great photos! In the case that operation of the trolley train is suspended due to inclement weather or other reason, this tour will also be cancelled. Notice of service suspension may be provided on the day of the tour.

Hozu-gawa River Boat Ride (90 min)
From Kameoka to Saga-Arashiyama, participants will go through a thrilling 16 km boat ride on the Hozu-gawa River while viewing the beautiful scenery. Please be aware that in the case that the Hozu-gawa River Boat Ride is cancelled due to high water levels or other reason, this tour may be operated with some changes.

On rainy days, please note that using an umbrella is not allowed on the Hozu-gawa River Boat Ride. An awning may be set up instead. The water may splash into the boat, but there are vinyl covers which can be used on board.
While on board, please make sure to put on life jackets. Participants who do not or cannot put on life jackets will not be allowed to ride the boat.
Foldable wheelchairs and strollers may be taken on board.

Arashiyama Sightseeing *Free time for lunch (140 min)
Participants can enjoy sightseeing on their own. Please eat lunch on your own (not included).
As a special perk for joining this tour, on the bus participants will be given a coupon usable at sightseeing facilities, restaurants, and more. The coupon can be used for discounted admission at the Kyoto Arashiyama Orgel Museum, rickshaw ride, discounted yakatabune ride, discounted foot bath use, as well as discounts at restaurants and shops.
Meals are not included in this plan. Participants are free to choose where to have lunch in Arashiyama.
