Board the subway using the 1-Day Pass

This tour is conducted on foot. Please participate in shoes and clothes which are easy to walk in. The tour will move as a group, and depending on customers’ walking speeds sightseeing may take more time than planned. Also, when visiting Nagoya Castle, an elevator can be taken to part of the main keep, but the main keep observatory is accessible only by staircase. Precautions must be taken when visiting Nagoya Castle’s Hommaru Palace, as valuable wood is used in its construction. The guide will give instructions on the tour day. Also, public transportation (subway) will be used for part of this tour. Please note that seating is not guaranteed. Thank you for your understanding.

Nagoya Castle  (120 min)
Visit Nagoya Castle, famous for having the largest main keep of any castle in Japan as well as its golden tiger-headed carps, accompanied by an interpreter guide.
Learn about the history of Nagoya Castle while viewing armor, helmets, swords, matchlock firearms, and other artifacts, climb onto an actual-size golden tiger-headed carp replica, and try pulling a rope attached to a stone from the stone wall.
On clear days, enjoy a great view of Nagoya and into the distance from the main keep.

The tour will visit the Spaceship-Aqua attraction, where visitors can experience walking 14 m above the ground, as well as the Ghibli/Jump stores and more. Please eat lunch on your own.

Kasuga Shrine is a branch temple of the World Heritage Kasuga Taisha Shrine in Nara Prefecture. At Osu Kannon Temple, participants will receive an explanation on religious beliefs in Japan and how Japanese visit a temple.
– Osu Shopping District
The liveliest shopping district in Nagoya, featuring traditional Japanese culture, anime, cosplay and other subcultures, all accompanied by the interpreter guide who can answer all of your questions.

Lunch, transportation expenses to the meeting location, and other personal expenses are not included. Also, refunds will not be provided if restrictions on entry are placed without notice, if a customer does not enter Nagoya Castle for their own reason, or if the subway pass is not used. A city bus or other vehicle may be used for alternate transportation if subway service has been suspended. Refunds will not be issued, and additional payment will not be required in such cases.

7. The tour will take participants around Nagoya Castle (tour inside), Sakae area including Oasis 21 and the surrounding vicinity (Spaceship-Aqua, Ghibli/Jump shops, etc.), Osu shopping district and surrounding vicinity (Kasuga Shrine, Osu Kannon Temple, etc.), and ends at Osu shopping district. The order of activities and arrival times may differ depending on road conditions and congestion at destinations. Even if you miss a Shinkansen, flight, etc. due to a public transportation delay, no refunds will be given, and no compensation will be given for accommodation costs, transportation costs, or telecommunications costs arising from missed transportation.

8. Participants will purchase their own lunches in Sakae’s Oasis 21 area. Please ask the guide if you have any questions. However, the guide cannot give restaurant recommendations to those with dietary restrictions, allergies, etc. Please choose what to eat at your own discretion.

9. This tour may be shared with other participants. Maximum 10 participants per tour.

10. The tour booking charge is different for adult customers (age 12 and older) and child customers (age 6 to 11). Children’s ages shall be calculated on the day of the event.
11. As this is a walking tour, participants using wheelchairs and those who have trouble walking must participate with a companion. There are many places in which handicap access is not sufficient, such as subway stations. There may be locations where a longer route must be taken by such participants, and some spots may not be visitable. Thank you for your understanding.
