1-Day Mt. Fuji & Hakone Tour (Return by Shinkansen, With Lunch) [Departs from Kudanshita, Akasaka, Roppongi & Hamamatsucho]

1. This guided 1-day tour takes you to majestic Mt. Fuji and Hakone. It includes a trip up to Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station at an elevation of 2,300 meters, a cruise on pristine Lake Ashi, and a ride on the Komagatake Ropeway which boasts great views of the surrounding Hakone National Park.
2. For the return trip, take the Shinkansen from Odawara Station back to Tokyo. (Customers may also get off at Shin-Yokohama and Shinagawa.)
3. Enjoy the areas of Mt. Fuji and Hakone which offer a different scenery every season, be it the cherry blossoms of spring, the fresh greens of summer, the colored leaves of autumn, or the scenescapes of winter.
4. Select the departure location from the following: Hotel New Otani (Akasaka), ANA InterContinental Tokyo (Roppongi), Hotel Grand Palace (Kudanshita), or Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal (directly connected to Hamamatsucho Station).
5. Convenient Wi-Fi service is available on board the bus.
6. Audio guides in Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Thai, French, and Indonesian are available on the tour bus.

Mt. Fuji 5th Station (30 min)
The bus will head up to the 5th Station along the Subaru Line.
The 5th Station is situated at 2,300 meters (7,546 ft) above sea level. At this height, participants will be amazed at spectacular, breathtaking views from above the clouds.
If Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station cannot be reached due to road surface freezing or an accident on the Fuji Subaru Line, the tour will be taken to the highest elevation point possible. No alternative destinations are planned when the tour reaches beyond the 1st station. When the tour has to turn back at the 1st station, or when the Fuji Subaru Line is completely blocked, the tour will visit Fujisan World Heritage Center or Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park. Please note that an alternative itinerary may also be omitted depending on road conditions.

Lake Ashi Cruise (15 min)
This crater lake along the southwest wall of the caldera of Mt. Hakone was formed by a powerful volcanic eruption nearly 3,000 years ago, and provides postcard views of Mt. Fuji towering 30 km northwest. Admire the superb view of Mt. Fuji from aboard a ship.
*The tour may be guided to another ropeway or an alternative destination if the Lake Ashi cruise operation is suspended, or depending on road conditions, etc.

Komagatake Ropeway (50 min)
Take a 7-minute ropeway ride to the peak of Mt. Komagatake. A total of 50 minutes will be spent here, including time to walk around at the peak. Take a cableway ride up to the spiritual Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya (original shrine) that nestles at the mountaintop.
*The tour may be guided to another ropeway or an alternative destination if the Komagatake ropeway operation is suspended, or depending on road conditions, etc.

Hakone-en
Depart Hakone and proceed to Odawara Station by bus.

Odawara Station
Board the Kodama Shinkansen to Tokyo in the non-reserved section.

After arrival, please head to your next destination on your own from Tokyo Station.
(Customers may also get off at Shin-Yokohama and Shinagawa.)

2. If the minimum number of participants (1) is not met by 4 days before the scheduled date, the tour on that date may be cancelled.

3. If Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station cannot be reached due to road surface freezing or an accident on the Fuji Subaru Line, the tour will be taken to the highest elevation point possible. 4. Mt. Fuji’s 5th station is typically 10 to 15 degrees Celsius colder than Tokyo. On tours from autumn to spring, please bring a coat and other warm clothing.

5. Due to weather conditions, Mt. Fuji may not be visible even from the base. However, the tour will not be cancelled and refunds will not be given for this reason.

6. If the Lake Ashi Cruise or Komagatake Ropeway are not running due to inclement weather or maintenance, or as a result of events, road or organization circumstances, they may be omitted and replaced with one or more of the following. This will not be used as a reason to cancel the tour, and refunds will not be given for this reason.
Hakone-en Aquarium, Hakone Ropeway, Owakudani Valley, Hakone Pirate Ship, Narukawa Art Museum, Hakone Checkpoint, Lake Kawaguchi Cruise, Mt. Kachi Kachi Ropeway, Itchiku Kubota Art Museum, Hakone Shrine, etc.

7. The annual Mt. Fuji Hill Climb will be held on a weekend in June (schedule for 2018 is yet to be determined). Please be aware that the itinerary order and destinations to be visited are subject to change. Furthermore, please note that refunds will not be issued in this case, and customers will not be notified separately when the schedule has been determined.

8. There will be no accompanying interpreter guide on the Shinkansen for the return trip. In this case, information on how to return to hotels will be provided in advance.

9. After sightseeing is finished, the bus may make multiple stops at hotels in the Hakone area for customers on tours with accommodation included.

10. The arrival time to Tokyo Station may vary depending on the season and the day of the week due to traffic congestion. Also, delays to the arrival time may be expected.

11. The order of the tour itinerary is subject to change due to road conditions or other reasons.
12. GPS-enabled audio guides are available on this tour in Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Thai, French, and Indonesian. Please make a request when booking. Same-day requests are not accepted. There are a limited number available, so it may not be possible to provide one for each participant. Also, no refunds will be issued even if the audio guide is unusable due to weak signal, device issues, Wi-Fi malfunction, etc. Furthermore, they may be unusable if there are changes to the itinerary. Please note that even in such cases, information will not be provided in advance.
