Taxi from Shiroishi-Zao Station
Please board the taxi from the west exit of Shiroishi-Zao Station.
Please designate a pick-up time between 13:00 – 14:00 when booking.
*Look for the driver holding a sign with the tour name on it and board the taxi.
If boarding another taxi, customers may have to shoulder additional taxi fare.
This is an unguided plan without an accompanying National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter or tour conductor, so please make your own way directly to the meeting location. Also, drivers for taxis throughout the itinerary speak Japanese only. At reception, please show a printed copy of the reservation confirmation sheet or a printout of the reservation confirmation e-mail. Those who forget to bring it may be unable to participate.
From Shiroishi-Zao Station Transfer to Zao Fox Village (30 min)
Free Time Sightseeing at Zao Fox Village (70 min)
The taxi driver will hand over the admission ticket.
Large luggage may be left at the Zao Fox Village. (Please keep your valuables with you.)
– Zao Fox Village:
This facility lets more than 100 foxes roam free in nature.
Meet about 6 types of foxes: Ezo red fox, the rare silver fox, arctic fox, platinum fox, shadow fox and cross fox.
Take a walk inside the wooded area in the facility, and you just might see a cute friendly fox right on your trail, tugging at your clothes and trying to play with you! Other than foxes, there are also rabbits and other animals within the facility.

For safety reasons, only customers 15 years of age and older may experience petting a fox.
Foxes roam freely in some parts of the facility. Adults accompanying young children must take care so as to prevent injuries or accidents.
Please be aware that 1 adult accompanying 2 or more elementary school age children are not allowed to enter as there have been many cases where children trip or fall and get hurt or bitten.

Please board the bus bound for the Snow Park. The bus will depart at 9:55.
Please show your reservation confirmation sheet when boarding the bus.
Please check out on your own before the meeting time.

Arrive at Sumikawa Snow Park
10:40 –
Sumikawa Snow Park Rest House – Reception
Meet at the Miyagi Zao Sumikawa Snow Park Rest House and check in by 10:40. Please show your reservation confirmation sheet. Large luggage may be left at the reception counter.
Free winter boot rentals will be provided here (16 cm to 29 cm sizes). (Please bring your own if you require a size smaller than 16 cm or larger than 29 cm.)
11:00 – 11:45
From in front of the Gelande House Board the Snowcat, Transfer (45 min)
Board the heated snowcat and depart on a tour to view the ‘snow monster’ trees.
The type of snowcat used depends on the number of tour participants on that day. Please follow instructions from the staff.
If visibility is severely limited, the tour route may be changed, or the tour may proceed only as far as possible at the discretion of the driver. No refunds will be issued even in such cases.
11:45 – 12:00
Arrive at Snow Monster Field, Snow Monster Viewing (15 min)
Participants will be able to see the snow monster trees in the vastly panoramic snow monster tree field where the trees are clustered together. During inclement weather, experience the fierce, -10°C snowstorms at 1,600 meters above sea level which are needed to cultivate the snow monster trees. Participants – from little children to those of advanced age – can easily enjoy the magnificent natural beauty of the snow monster tree fields where the globally rare snow monster tree grow en masse.

Board the snowmobile (45 min)
From Snow Monster Tree Field to Snow Park Ski Slope

Arrive at Sumikawa Snow Park Gelande House
After arriving at the Sumikawa Snow Park ski slope, enjoy your free time until the bus departs for Sendai Station.
Rest House “Kumowaku Terrace” (restaurant and shop)
Rentals (there are rental skis, snowboards, sleds, clothing, and other equipment available)
16:00 –
Sumikawa Snow Park Meet in front of the Juhyou bus stop
The bus will depart for JR Sendai Station at 16:10. Please be aware that should you fail to meet at the area by departure time, this shall be considered a waiver of your reservation, and the bus will depart without you.
