This is an unguided plan, so please go to the meeting location on your own. At reception, please show a printed copy of the reservation confirmation sheet or a printout of the reservation confirmation e-mail. Those who forget to bring it may be unable to participate.
The driver will be waiting for participants holding a placard with the Sunrise Tours logo. Drivers speak Japanese only.
This plan uses a charter taxi. The type of vehicle depends on the number of participants: compact (capacity: 2~3), van (capacity: 8). The vehicle type cannot be selected. Children under age 1 cannot participate on this tour.

Nyuto Onsen (free time for sightseeing and lunch) (90 min)
Enjoy free time walking around Nyuto Onsen, a charming hot spring village with secluded hot springs nestled in the mountains.
Surrounded by the clean, crisp air of the pristine beech forest, soak in relaxing hot springs brimming with underground water at a day-trip open-air bathing spa, and savor a delectable meal.
About Nyuto Onsen:
A hot spring village, Nyuto Onsenkyo is home to 7 bathing facilities, all of which can accommodate customers on day trips.
There are some facilities that are closed depending on the day, so please make sure to check in advance. The minimum bathing charge costs around JPY 600. Towels can also be purchased on site.

Dakigaeri Valley (free time sightseeing) (60 min)
Dakigaeri Valley
This beautiful location is flanked by virgin forests on both sides, and features waterfalls and brilliant blue streams. A renowned spot for viewing the tint of autumn foliage.
Visitors will find a walking path maintained along the valley, allowing for easy access to see the rock formations, river rapids, and waterfalls of varying sizes. Enjoy the magnificent view from Kami-no-iwa Bridge, which is visible upon arriving at the valley.

Kakunodate Samurai District (free time sightseeing) (60 min)
Kakunodate Samurai District
The buildings in this area are lined with black wooden fences, and have been designated as an Important Traditional Building Preservation District of Japan. The zoning which separated the samurai class from other residents remains mostly unchanged here, and the large number of preserved samurai residences makes this a popular sightseeing spot. Enjoy seeing black-wooden-fenced samurai residences and beautiful autumn leaves.

Lake Tazawa (drive-by)

The deepest lake in the country, and the 19th largest lake or marsh by surface area in Japan. This picturesque area is a designated prefectural natural park, and one of the 100 Landscapes of Japan. From the window, see the majestic blue of Japan’s deepest lake, Lake Tazawa, in a stunning contrast with vividly colored leaves.
