2. The Nebuta Festival is an impressive summer festival that has been designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Asset of Japan which features several ‘nebuta’ – giant floats that reach up to 9 meters wide, 7 meters deep, 5 meters high, and exceed 4 tons – that parade through Aomori City.

Requests for chairs or gallery seats are not accepted. Eating and drinking in the viewing seats is allowed. Please bring your own rain gear. (The viewing seats do not have a roof.)

After picking up the tickets at Hotel Aomori, customers staying at Richmond Hotel Aomori and Smile Hotel Aomori will be guided on foot by a local staff member (assistance in Japanese only) to the viewing seats. Furthermore, eating and drinking in the viewing seats is allowed.
For customers staying at Hotel 2135, please head on your own to the gallery seats in front of the hotel by the time you are given at hotel check-in.
