About the tour

1. Visit the World Heritage Site Daigo-ji Temple to admire an illumination of its autumn leaves.
2. This tour also visits Shogunzuka Dainichido Temple, a little known spot for illuminated autumn leaf viewing in Kyoto.
3. Shogunzuka offers views out over Kyoto, so if the weather is clear look forward to a beautiful night view of Kyoto.
4. Transportation via taxi allows participants to easily visit locations which are a bit difficult to access via public transportation.
5. Participate worry-free as a driver who speaks conversational English will be assigned to your taxi.

Itinerary

Meet at New Miyako Hotel
Depending on the number of participants, a sedan or large taxi will be used. A maximum of 9 passengers can ride in one vehicle.
17:00 –
Depart from New Miyako Hotel

Daigo-ji Temple Shimo-Daigo  (40 min)
A World Heritage site. A harmony between the structures and autumn leaves can be found here, as well as a garden designed by Toyotomi Hideyoshi and pondside Bentendo Hall.

Shogunzuka Seiryuden  (20 min)
Enjoy the park here which offers 2 observation areas to admire the panoramic night views and a mystical illumination of bright red tree leaves.
