Itinerary

09:15 – 09:30

Meet at Sapporo Station Terminal & Depart

Go to the Regular Sightseeing Bus window on the 2nd floor of JR Sapporo Station Bus Terminal (a 2-minute walk from the South Exit of JR Sapporo Station) and check in by 9:15. The bus will depart at 9:30. Information on this tour will be given via multilingual guidance system in English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean. A sightseeing guide will accompany the tour, but will not provide verbal sightseeing guidance.

Former Hokkaido Government Office (drive-by)

Affectionately known as the “Red Brick Office,” this building is one of the symbols of Hokkaido.

Odori Park (drive-by)

Located in the heart of Sapporo, this famed park is the site of Sapporo Snow Festival, Yosakoi Soran Festival, and other events.

09:55 – 10:20

Hokkaido Shrine (25 min)

The history of Hokkaido Shrine began in 1869 when Emperor Meiji ordered that the three deities of the Hokkaido reclamation be enshrined. The shrine, which is thought to be flowing with mystical power, has been protecting the people of Hokkaido since the Meiji Era and is visited by many people each year.

The shrine parking lot may be unusable in mid-June due to the annual Hokkaido Shrine festival.

10:45 – 11:50

Shiroi Koibito Park (60 min)

See Hokkaido’s famed confection, ‘Shiroi Koibito,’ being made on the production line. Enjoy shopping around after the tour.

Admission to Shiroi Koibito Park is included. The bus will also drive by Miyanosawa Shiroi Koibito Soccer Field.

12:10 – 13:15

Central Wholesale Market (Enjoy shopping and eat lunch on your own) (80 min)

Walk freely through the popular market which opens each morning with vegetables, fruit and seafood all freshly delivered from various areas in Hokkaido. There are sushi shops, diners and other restaurants here. Enjoy lunch as well as shopping (Eat lunch on your own. Cost of lunch is not included.)

By showing your regular sightseeing bus ticket stub at select locations in the Central Wholesale Market you can enjoy an original menu (Cost not included in the tour price and must be paid separately). These meals may sell out as there is a limited quantity. Note that the original menu is not available on certain days. Receive 10% off marine and farm products, and 5% off snacks. 2. If the minimum number of participants (1) is not met by 4 days before the scheduled date, the tour on that date may be cancelled.

3. This tour is via a Hokkaido Chuo Bus Regular Sightseeing Bus (Hokkaido Chuo Bus Sapporo Terminal: Tel. 011-231-0500/ 7:30 to 18:00).

4. Please check in at the regular sightseeing bus window on the 2nd floor of JR Sapporo Station Bus Terminal at least 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time. At reception, please show a printed copy of the reservation confirmation sheet or a printout of the reservation confirmation e-mail. Simply showing the confirmation on a mobile device screen will not be accepted. The bus will depart at the scheduled time regardless of latecomers, so make sure to be on time.

5. A sightseeing guide will accompany the tour, but will not provide verbal sightseeing guidance. Information on sights seen out the window will be provided by a Multilingual Audio Guide in English, Chinese and Korean. The multilingual audio guide system provides audio information in the selected language as the bus passes predetermined points.

6. Admission to Shiroi Koibito Park is included. The bus will also drive by Miyanosawa Shiroi Koibito Soccer Field.

9. The time length of the destination tours may be extended or shortened due to road conditions, number of participants, etc.

10. Young children (0-5 years old) may ride for free if they do not require a seat. However, only 1 child per adult may ride for free. If 1 adult (12 or older) will be accompanied by 2 infants/young children (0-5 years old), please make a booking for 1 of the children at the child rate (6-11 years old).
11. The tour may end early due to facilities being closed, destination tour time, etc.
12. The bus may be delayed for reasons such as traffic and inclement weather, so please allow for plenty of time for your transfers to other modes of transportation.
13. The bus service may be suspended in case of a disaster or abnormal weather.
14. All seats on the bus will be assigned. Seat requests are not accepted at reservation.
