About the tour

1. On this tour, take a drive up to Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station accompanied by an English-speaking guide. Also enjoy a nature walk around Aokigahara Forest (known as the Sea of Trees), located 1000 meters above sea level at the foot of Mt Fuji, and explore the lava caves of the mountain under the guidance of an English-speaking instructor. Enjoy a relaxing time in the forest among the natural surroundings of World Heritage Mt. Fuji.
2. In the morning, visit Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station accompanied by an English-speaking guide.
3. Explore Aokigahara Forest and the lava caves formed during Mt Fuji’s eruption with an English-speaking instructor.

Itinerary

07:30 – 08:30

Pick-up Service
This tour can be joined from various meeting points mainly located at major hotels throughout Tokyo.

09:00 –

Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal
Depart from Hamamatsucho and head to Mt. Fuji by bus.
(Chuo Expressway or Tomei Expressway)

Mt. Fuji 5th Station (30 min)
The bus will head up to the 5th Station along the Subaru Line. The 5th Station is situated at 2,300 meters (7,546 ft) above sea level. At this height, participants will be amazed at spectacular, breathtaking views from above the clouds.

If Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station cannot be reached due to road surface freezing or an accident on the Fuji Subaru Line, the tour will be taken to the highest elevation point possible. No alternative destinations are planned when the tour reaches beyond the 1st station. When the tour has to turn back at the 1st station, or when the Fuji Subaru Line is completely blocked, the tour will visit Fuji Visitor Center. Please note that an alternative itinerary may also be omitted depending on road conditions.

Highland Resort Hotel & Spa
Lunch (participants are free to have lunch, meal charges not included in the tour)
After lunch, the tour will take a shuttle bus provided by the activity company.
Lunch is not included on this tour. Participants may eat lunch on their own at Highland Resort Hotel & Spa. Note that in some cases a sufficient amount of time cannot be allotted for lunch. Thank you for your understanding.

Aokigahara Forest & Cave Exploring (90 min)
Take a nature walk around Aokigahara Forest, then enjoy exploring a lava cave formed during Mt. Fuji’s volcanic eruption.
After the visiting the lava cave, the tour will return to the expressway bus terminal via shuttle bus.

Fuji-Q Highland Bus Stop (120 min)
The route bus used to return from Fuji-Q Highland bus stop to Tokyo will be a bus arriving to either Shinjuku, Tokyo Station, or Ikebukuro.

19:30 – 21:00

Shinjuku, Tokyo Station, or Ikebukuro
Please head to your next destination on your own after the tour.
