About the tour

1. This bus tour takes participants to four sightseeing spots around Mt. Fuji for a special price of just JPY 11,500! Enjoy seeing the vivid hues of autumn leaves along with Mt. Fuji, a World Heritage Site.
2. Take a walk through a captivattouring tunnel created by towering maple trees with Mt. Fuji in the background, a spectacular sight you don’t want to miss! Hop aboard the ropeway and take in the awe-inspiring scenery of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi bordered by colorful autumn leaves.
3. Have your fill of Japan’s many picturesque countryside views including a group of traditional thatched roof houses with foliage in reds, greens and yellows all around.
4. Enjoy seeing beautiful kimono at Itchiku Kubota Museum. Also, in the garden look forward to seeing superb autumn leaves.

Itinerary

08:40 – 08:50
Reception & Departure from Check-in Counter at 3F Main Tower, Keio Plaza Hotel Shinjuku
Please arrive by 8:40. The interpreter-guide or a staff will conduct check-in. The bus will depart at 8:50.

*Seats are assigned on the bus. The interpreter-guide will give instructions to participants on the tour day. Seating requests cannot be accepted.

10:50 – 11:40
Mt. Kachi Kachi Ropeway (50 min)
From the observation deck at 1,075 m, enjoy the impressive view of Mt. Fuji from the peak all the way down to the skirts of the mountain and see Lake Kawaguchi dyed in the brilliant autumn leaf colors.
Approximately 30 minutes will be spent here, including 3 minutes each way on the ropeway and time spent at the observation deck.

If Mt. Kachi Kachi Ropeway is not running or is too crowded to board, it may be replaced with a ride on a Lake Kawaguchi sightseeing boat, or a visit to Kawaguchiko Museum of Art, Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine, Fujiyama Museum, Oishi Park, Hanano Miyako Koen (Flower Garden), or other location. This will not be used as a reason to cancel the tour, and refunds will not be given for this reason.
11:50 – 12:50
Sukiyaki Set Meal by Lake Kawaguchi (Lunch) (60 min)
Enjoy a sukiyaki set meal.

*Participants who would like a vegetarian meal must make a request at least 2 business days before the tour date. Requests made any later may not be fulfilled.

Itchiku Kubota Museum (40 min)
Enjoy seeing beautiful kimono at Itchiku Kubota Museum. Also, in the garden look forward to seeing superb autumn leaves.

Lake Kawaguchi Maple Corridor (40 min)
Participants will be guided to the Fuji Kawaguchiko Autumn Leaves Festival held on the northern coast of Lake Kawaguchi. The main attraction is the brilliant 150 meter long tunnel created by 60 towering maple trees with Mt. Fuji in the background.

Kachi Kachi Ropeway is not running or is too crowded to board, it may be replaced with a ride on a Lake Kawaguchi sightseeing boat, or a visit to Kawaguchiko Museum of Art, Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine, Fujiyama Museum, Oishi Park, Hanano Miyako Koen (Flower Garden), or other location. This will not be used as a reason to cancel the tour, and refunds will not be given for this reason.

Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba (Healing Village) (60 min)
Have fun shopping for local products and souvenirs, and enjoy seeing Japan’s countryside dotted with traditional thatched roof houses from where Mt. Fuji can be admired.

There are various traditional craftwork activities such as craft making and pottery available at the Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba (Healing Village), but the costs for such activities are not included in the tour booking charge. Also, tour participants may be unable to take part in these activities due to congestion.
18:30 – 18:30
Near Shinjuku Station West Exit
During the bus ride, the interpreter guide will explain how to return to your hotel from Shinjuku.
Tour ends after arrival.

5. Arrival times may be delayed and the order of itinerary altered due to traffic congestion or crowding at sightseeing locations, which may be expected in the Mt. Fuji area during leaf viewing season. Time spent at destinations may be shortened in such cases, but this will not be accepted as a reason for requesting booking charge refunds.
